Payee verification went live on 5 October 2025, free, inside five seconds, around the clock across the SEPA area. The result comes back as a pain.002 under VPZ, and a corporate can opt out for bulk submissions by choosing the opt-out order type.

What is still ahead
DTAZV ends at BayernLB. Foreign payments move to pain.001.001.09 under AXZ. We have never produced DTAZV, so we drive AXZ already.
Same-day urgent transfers move off pain.001.001.03 to pain.001.001.09. Our engine emits both versions today.
Structured addresses become mandatory for the debtor, the creditor and any ultimate parties. Canonical input 1.1 has taken those as separate fields since it shipped.
Every EBICS key pair has to reach 4096 bits. New keys and a new initialisation letter.

Conclude the agreement
BayernLB communicates the connection address at contract conclusion rather than publishing it, together with your Partner ID, User ID and System ID and the order types you are entitled to.

Generate and send your keys
Three key pairs — signature, encryption and authentication — each under your sole control. One press generates them and sends the public halves over EBICS.

Send the initialisation letter
By design the key exchange runs over two independent channels. We print the letter carrying each key's purpose, version, modulus and hash in hex. You sign it; the bank checks the two agree.

Verify the bank and go live
BayernLB supplies its own key hash over a separately agreed channel. We fetch the bank's keys and compare before the first exchange, then you choose the approval policy.

Payments go out as pain.001, statements come back as camt, unattended.
