Questions

What is Banque Cantonale de Genève's EBICS Host ID and URL?
BCGE does not publish them. EBICS at BCGE runs under the BCGE Business link user contract, which requires a BCGE account and a licence for EBICS-compatible payment or accounting software.
Which EBICS version does BCGE use?
BCGE names EBICS 3.0: clients who send pain.001.001.09 files over EBICS 3.0 need to change nothing for the structured-address rule that applies from 14 November 2026. BCGE does not publish a list of the other EBICS versions it supports.
Which files can I exchange with BCGE over EBICS?
You send pain.001 payment files for Switzerland and abroad. You receive pain.002 acknowledgements and payment statuses, camt.052 intraday and camt.053 end-of-day account statements, and camt.054 for incoming QR-bill, BVR and LSV payments. Conversion of the account statement to MT942 or MT940 is optional.
What does Business link cost?
Business link is free of charge. BCGE's tariffs in force from 1 January 2026 list CHF 15 per order for a Business link confirmation of file receipt.
What changes at BCGE on 14 November 2026?
Payments with unstructured addresses are declined. Debtor, creditor and financial-institution addresses must be structured in domestic (SIC) and foreign (SEPA, Swift) payments. For pain.001 over EBICS, BCGE states that nothing changes if your platform generates pain.001.001.09 and uses EBICS 3.0.
Does BCGE support instant payments?
BCGE's general terms set the conditions for an instant payment: CHF only, a beneficiary bank in Switzerland that accepts instant payments, and irrevocable once BCGE receives the order. The ceiling is CHF 20,000 per transaction. Receiving is available 24/7 and free of charge. BCGE does not publish whether instant payments can be sent over Business link.
Can I connect my ERP to Banque Cantonale de Genève?
Yes. You send canonical JSON and BankConnector produces the pain.001.001.09 file the Swiss Payment Standards describe, then reads camt and pain.002 back into one normalised format. SEPA credit transfers, Swiss domestic transfers, QR-bill payments and international payments are supported. Direct debits are not.

  1. Payments with unstructured addresses are declined. The rule covers debtor, creditor and financial-institution addresses in domestic and foreign payments. Our engine already produces pain.001.001.09 for BCGE.

If all of this looks like a lot  ·  it does not have to be

Five steps to a live BCGE connection.

You do not need to know what any of the codes above mean. Our setup guide walks you through it one screen at a time.

  1. 1

    Request the agreement from BCGE

EBICS starts with paperwork. We draft the email, you send it, and you tell us when it has gone. There is nothing to configure until the bank replies.

  2. 2

Set up and send your keys

Enter the values from the agreement BCGE returns. We already hold the ones that are public, so most of the form is filled in. Then one press generates your three key pairs and sends the public halves.

  3. 3

    Prove your identity on paper

EBICS confirms the key exchange on paper, by design. We print the initialisation letter carrying the fingerprints BCGE will check. You sign it by hand and send it.

  4. 4

    Verify BCGE and go live

While you wait, we fetch the bank's public keys and check them against the fingerprints it gives you over a separate channel. When that lands, you choose which approval policy governs payments here, and the connection switches on.

  5. 5

You are now in production with BCGE

Payments go out as pain.001 and statements come back as camt. The connection runs unattended from here.
