Questions

What is BancaStato's EBICS Host ID and URL?
Host ID BANCASTATOEBICS, address https://ebics.bancastato.ch on port 443. BancaStato publishes the hash values of its authentication (X002) and encryption (E002) keys on its InLink EBICS connection-parameter sheet.
Which EBICS versions does BancaStato support?
The host answers EBICS 2.4 (H003), 2.5 (H004) and 3.0 (H005, version 03.02). BancaStato's connection-parameter sheet lists 3.0, 2.5 and 2.4.
Which signature version and signing rules does BancaStato use for EBICS?
Signature version A005, with X002 for authentication and E002 for encryption. Each EBICS access has exactly one authorised user with individual signature, and the distributed electronic signature (VEU) is not supported. Payment orders are processed immediately.
Which order types does BancaStato publish?
XE2 for pain.001 and XKD for DTA payment orders; Z01 for pain.002; C52, C53 and C54 for camt.052, camt.053 and camt.054; STA and VMK for MT940 and MT942; ZB6 for ESR credit notes; and ZDF for electronic documents. Under EBICS 3.0, pain.001 is MCT/CH and camt.053 is EOP/CH in a ZIP container.
What are BancaStato's payment cut-off times?
BancaStato publishes its cut-offs for orders entered in InLinea e-banking: CHF payments in Switzerland and CHF international payments by 12:00 on working days, urgent CHF or USD payments by 16:00, urgent EUR by 15:00, urgent GBP or CAD by 14:00. EUR payments go out the next day or later unless urgent. Its EBICS sheet states that payment orders are processed immediately. Instant payments are CHF only, up to CHF 20,000, and from InLinea only.
Can I connect my ERP to BancaStato?
Yes. You send canonical JSON and BankConnector produces the pain.001.001.09 file the Swiss Payment Standards describe, then reads camt and pain.002 back into one normalised format. SEPA credit transfers, Swiss domestic transfers, QR-bill payments and international payments are supported. Direct debits are not.

If all of this looks like a lot  ·  it does not have to be

Five steps to a live BancaStato connection.

You do not need to know what any of the codes above mean. Our setup guide walks you through it one screen at a time.

  1. 1

    Request the agreement from BancaStato

EBICS starts with paperwork. We draft the email, you send it, and you tell us when it has gone. There is nothing to configure until the bank replies.

  2. 2

Set up and send your keys

Enter the values from the agreement BancaStato returns. We already hold the ones that are public, so most of the form is filled in. Then one press generates your three key pairs and sends the public halves.

  3. 3

    Prove your identity on paper

EBICS confirms the key exchange on paper, by design. We print the initialisation letter carrying the fingerprints BancaStato will check. You sign it by hand and send it.

  4. 4

    Verify BancaStato and go live

While you wait, we fetch the bank's public keys and check them against the fingerprints it gives you over a separate channel. When that lands, you choose which approval policy governs payments here, and the connection switches on.

  5. 5

You are now in production with BancaStato

Payments go out as pain.001 and statements come back as camt. The connection runs unattended from here.
