Uniconta

What are our options for bank integration in Uniconta?

The short answer

With BankConnector you stay in Uniconta: you pay and approve there, see the bank's answer on every line, and the bank statements come in and are matched by themselves. With a payment file or Uniconta's AutoBanking, the payments still go through online banking, where they are approved too.

What this page says about Uniconta comes from Uniconta's own pages and guide (Unipedia), read 20 October 2026.

1. BankConnector

BankConnector is an add-on for Uniconta that takes the whole bank routine into Uniconta:

  • Pay straight from Uniconta: make the payment journal and send it, without opening online banking.
  • Approve in Uniconta with two-factor authentication, with several approvers and a fixed order if you want them. Nobody approves their own payment.
  • See the bank's answer right on every line: sent to the bank, accepted by the bank, completed, or the bank's reason if it rejects a payment.
  • Get the bank statements in several times a day, matched to your invoices and payments.
  • One connection to your banks: 351 banks, 39 of them in Denmark, including Danske Bank, Nordea, Jyske Bank, Sydbank and Nykredit.
  • No bank formats to think about: BankConnector produces the format each bank requires.

The agreement with the bank is your own, with your own keys, and the money never passes through BankConnector. Payment data and bank credentials are kept and processed in the EU, and everything that happens to a payment is copied into the Uniconta company for the auditor. See how a payment run works.

The price is from DKK 750 or €100 a month excluding VAT, set by the payments you send. Every bank is included, there is no setup fee and no minimum term, and your first 10 real payments are free. See what it costs.

2. A payment file and online banking

This is how Uniconta's own guide describes paying suppliers: you make a payment proposal in Uniconta, create a payment file, log in to online banking, upload the file and approve the payments there. The bank's answer is in online banking, and the bank statement is downloaded as a file and imported into Uniconta. With accounts at several banks, you do it in each bank's online banking.

Paying abroad by file? According to Uniconta, the old formats for foreign payments end on 15 November 2026, and you change the setup to ISO 20022 yourself.

3. Uniconta's AutoBanking

AutoBanking is Uniconta's add-on module for bank statements. It fetches the bank entries into Uniconta by Bank Connect (more than 60 banks, but not Danske Bank or Nordea) or by Mastercard Open Banking, where the connection is set up with MitID and has to be renewed every 90 days.

According to Uniconta's guide, supplier payments still go as a payment file that is approved in online banking, and the bank's answer is in online banking.

When BankConnector makes the most sense

  • You pay suppliers every week and want to stop exporting and uploading files.
  • You have accounts at several banks and want one connection to all of them.
  • Your approvers should approve in Uniconta, not in online banking.
  • Your bookkeeper wants the bank statements in and matched without importing anything.
  • You want the bank agreement and the keys in your own name.
