How the statements come in
Once your bank is connected, BankConnector fetches your statements from the bank in the background, and Uniconta picks them up by itself several times a day. If you want the latest one right now, there is a button for that.
You choose where the entries go, per bank account:
- Into Uniconta's own bank reconciliation, as you use it today.
- Into a posting journal for the bank account, one line per bank entry, ready to be matched and posted.
Both keep track of what has come in, so nothing comes in twice.
What is matched automatically
- Your own payments to suppliers, with the invoices they paid.
- Payments from customers whose amount agrees with an invoice to the cent, and several invoices paid with one amount when only one combination fits.
- Bank fees, interest and other entries that always look the same, by your own matching rules.
What cannot be matched for certain waits for you, sometimes with a suggestion ready. To save even more time, switch on automatic posting.
Balances and month-end
The list of bank accounts shows the balance on the latest statement, the payments still on their way, and what is left. A month-end page collects what is still open in the month, so you can see when it is ready to close.
What it takes
Your bank connected in BankConnector, with statements included in your agreement with the bank, and the BankConnector add-on in Uniconta. Statements never count towards the price: you pay only for the payments you send. See what bank integration for Uniconta costs.
More questions
How often do new statements arrive?
Uniconta fetches new statements by itself several times a day, and you can always fetch the latest one at once. How often the bank produces statements depends on the bank and your agreement with it.
Do bank statements cost extra?
No. Statements, balances and incoming payments never count towards the price; you pay only for the payments you send.
Can we keep using Uniconta's own bank reconciliation?
Yes. The statements can go into Uniconta's own bank reconciliation, as before, or into a posting journal per bank account where the entries are matched for you.
