Three ways to connect your system
| You use | How it connects |
|---|---|
| Uniconta | A ready-made add-on that your Uniconta partner installs for you. Nothing to build. |
| Another ERP or your own system | Your own developers or your ERP partner connect it to BankConnector's API. Payments go in one format to every bank. |
| You build software for others | You build bank payments into your own product, for all your customers. |
What you need to have in place
- 1
An agreement with each bank
The connection uses your own agreement with the bank for a direct connection for business customers. You order it from the bank and get expert guidance all the way.
- 2
Connect the bank in BankConnector
With the codes the bank sends you, you connect the bank in BankConnector's web app. We take care of the keys, certificates and the bank's formats.
- 3
Decide who approves
Set the approval rules and invite the approvers. Approvers who use two-factor authentication enter a fresh code from an authenticator app for each approval, and admins can require it for everyone. Approvals in the Uniconta add-on always take a code.
- 4
Connect your system
On Uniconta, your Uniconta partner installs the add-on for you. Otherwise your system calls the API.
What changes in the daily work
- Payments go from your system to the bank, and the bank's answer comes back on every payment.
- Approvers approve where they already work, with a code from an authenticator app when two-factor authentication is on.
- Bank statements come into your system automatically and are matched to your open invoices.
- One connection for all your banks: the second bank costs the same as the first.
You use BankConnector's web app for the setup you do once: connecting your banks, setting the approval rules and adding the users.
Which banks
351 banks in 55 countries, over EBICS, SFTP and the banks' own web services. In Denmark that includes Danske Bank, Nordea and the banks on Bank Connect, such as Jyske Bank, Sydbank and Nykredit. Search them all on the list of supported banks.
Security
The money never passes through BankConnector: payments leave your own account, under your own agreements and with your own keys. Payment data and bank credentials are kept and processed in the EU. The details are on the security page.
More questions
Is this the same as open banking?
No. Open banking (PSD2) was built for apps that read accounts and start single payments, and the access has to be renewed by a person at intervals. BankConnector uses the banks' direct connections for business customers (host-to-host), which are made for payment runs and bank statements every day.
Do we need developers?
Not with Uniconta: there it is a ready-made add-on that your Uniconta partner installs for you. With other systems your own developers or your ERP partner connect the system to the API; the documentation and a free sandbox are open to everyone.
What does it cost?
From DKK 750 or €100 a month, excluding VAT, set by how many payments you send. Every bank is included, with no setup fee and no minimum term.
